Why not Holee Molee?

• Tobacco cigarette smoke stinks, lingers, and can be offensive to others. Absolutely are very unhealthy, especially with the hundreds of added chemicals. Filters do not decompose. Very expensive, and addictive.

• Vaping is pure chemical. The worst for your health, especially the lungs. Vape pens do not decompose. Very expensive.

• Cannabis has too many different uses, mostly good. The biggest rub is the smoke lingers, and can be mind-altering. You can be cited for driving under the influence of some cannabis.

The better alternative is to not smoke anything at all. However, if you want to enjoy a good holistic and flavorful puff, please consider a Holee Molee for your chill puff, social smoke, stage prop, at the camp fire, with a libation, holding a fishing pole, on the road, or after a good meal.

Background:

The research and development (R&D) into making Holee Molees commenced in 2020. At first, we started to study the native plants on our property. Realizing that some of the plants were edible, smokable, and/or had wellness benefits. For example, Mullein is the base ingredient in the Holee Molee blends and teas. Mullein is a known expectorant.

Years of trial, error, and experimenting with friends (poor things) has enabled us to finally present with confidence a quality and enjoyable smoke to share publicly. The R&D will never end. We depend mostly on user feedback, careful processes, and solid documentation. We are always grateful to receive honest and sincere feedback.

We are a very small ag business registered with the California State Tax Board and the County of Shasta.

Our property is fronted by a beautiful all year around stream that provides the quality fresh water to support our orchards and field crops.

We do not use herbicides or insecticides anywhere near our orchards and field crops.

Factors Influencing an Even Burn:

Construction

• Blend: The type and cut of a blend used can affect how evenly a smoke burns. A consistent blend helps maintain an even burn, such as made with hemp or tobacco. Holistic herbs have varying density and shapes. Makes for a challenge with achieving burn consistency and smoothness. We obtain consistency and smoothness by mixing our herbs together for months before injecting them into the bio-tubes.

• Paper Quality: The paper tube thickness and composition play a crucial role. Thinner papers may burn faster, while thicker ones can slow down the burn rate. We use only one brand of paper for consistency, Cartel Bio-Tubes.

Burning Process

• Burn Rings: Commercial paper tubes often have a pattern of burn rings that control the burn rate. These rings help slow the burn when the smoker is not inhaling, promoting an even consumption. We do not use tubes with any burn rings or chemicals.

• Airflow: Proper airflow through the smoke is essential. If the airflow is blocked or uneven, it can lead to an uneven burn. Our cellulose filters enable a consistent draw.

• Environmental conditions can affect burn consistency and harshness. Keep your package of smokes closed, avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Our smokes come pre-cured for optimum smoothness.

Smoking Technique

• Gently rotate the smoke upon lighting to help maintain an even burn. If you experience uneven burn or “canoeing”, slow down and relight the unburned side for a better experience. It’s worth the extra effort instead of consuming chemically treated paper tubes.

• Smokes that are too moist can burn unevenly, or be harsh if too dry. Store them in an airtight container, such as Boveda bags or a humidor. The desired humidity range is 65-70% with a temperature range of 50-65*F (10-18*C). Our Kraft paper bio-degradable packaging allows some air exchange to maintain cure in a controlled environment.
